Commission approves four residential and commercial projects

Conservation Commission · Meeting of August 3, 2026

Scituate Conservation Commission approves four residential and commercial permits. The Commission, chaired by Frank Snow, issued Orders of Conditions for utilities work at 71 Front Street, an addition and garage at 232 Country Way, septic replacement on Garfield Street, and a new coastal dwelling at 0 Surfside Road. All votes were unanimous among the five commissioners present.

Conservation Agent Jennifer Smith recommended double erosion control for the coastal project. The Commission continued hearings on a 24-unit multi-family 40B development at First Parish Road (August 31) and a reduced-scope two-home project at Stockbridge Road (September 9) that drew neighbor concerns about site access and turnaround viability.
