Eight Scituate Property Transfers Recorded, Most Without a Sale Price
Eight property transfers were recorded in Scituate between July 3 and Aug. 1, according to Plymouth County Registry of Deeds filings, but only three listed a sale price. Those disclosed considerations -- $700, $887 and $929 -- are far below typical home values and do not reflect fair market prices; the median among disclosed sales was $887. The remaining five transfers, including properties on Central Avenue, Tilden Road and Ocean Avenue, listed no price. Five of the eight transfers involved a trust or LLC as grantor or grantee, and no street had more than one recorded sale. The data offers no reliable read on current market conditions.
