Scituate approves pool, deck, home addition

Scituate Conservation Commission approves three coastal residential projects. The commission voted 6-0 to issue Orders of Conditions for a 14-by-32-foot swimming pool at 82 Scituate Ave, an elevated deck at 60 Rebecca Road, and an addition with attached garage at 71 Jericho Ave, all within or near Land Subject to Coastal Storm Flowage. Conservation Agent Jennifer Smith raised concerns about wetland delineation at the deck site.

The commission also voted 6-0 to issue a negative determination of applicability for a deck expansion at 154 Hatherly Road. Four Notice of Intent hearings were continued to later dates, including a proposal for ten residential units and a boat house at 21 Central Ave and 7 Marshfield Ave, continued to October 5.
