Boatworks wet storage proposal discussed at Waterways meeting

SCITUATE — Waterways Commission discusses Scituate Boatworks wet storage proposal. Vice Chair Brian Cronin presided as eight members convened at the Maritime Center; the Commission reviewed a proposal from Scituate Boatworks to lease roughly 18 slips at Cole Parkway Marina for $2,500 per shoulder season. Harbormaster Stephen Mone reported one boat broke free during Saturday's storm.

The Selectboard has approved Amendments to Mooring Rules and Regulations. The Pier 44 project cost has been reduced from $6 million to $4 million. Shellfishing remains closed until the fall season.
