SCITUATE — June 1, 2026 — Scituate Conservation Commission continues two Humarock coastal cases and closes two others at its June 1 meeting. The commission voted 3-1 to deny closure of the 30 Marshfield Avenue ADU application, sending the case to July 6 after administrator Jen Smith said her stormwater calculations show the project exceeds the 25 percent impervious-area threshold — a dispute complicated by two accessory sheds that appeared on the property in 2020 without conservation approval. Member Brendan argued the unpermitted structures "should not be used in any calculation" and suggested an enforcement order could be warranted. The 83 Rebecca Road house-raise case was also continued unanimously to July 6 after the commission identified that the proposed covered porch would sit roughly four and a half feet closer to the seawall than the existing one, and that the plan lacked pile specifications, erosion controls, and adequate mitigation planting; the hearing was disrupted when property owner Larry Wysocki, left unmuted, directed a profanity at member Penny, prompting attorney Jeff DeLisi to apologize and the commission to adopt a new policy of muting all non-members during deliberation.
