Harbor dredging receives suitability determination; bylaw revisions set for vote

Scituate Waterways Commission receives official harbor dredging disposal determination and reviews bylaw revisions. Harbormaster Stephen F. Mone reported the town received suitability determination for disposal of approximately 16,000 cubic yards of material from Scituate Harbor, with about 3,600 cubic yards requiring offshore transport to Massachusetts or Cape Cod Bays.
Work has begun on the request for proposals for river dredging. Select Board Liaison Susan Harrison reported that proposed bylaw revisions changing "gross income" to "annual gross income" in commercial fishing definitions will be presented to voters at the April 13 annual town meeting.
