Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 5, 2026
Scituate Advisory Committee endorses FY27 budgets as health insurance costs rise 10 percent. The Committee voted 8-0 for the general fund operating budget and enterprise fund budgets, though Finance Director Nancy Holt reported a 10 percent health insurance increase from Mayflower Municipal Health Group, prompting a deferral of OPEB funding. The Committee also advanced the capital plan and Community Preservation projects including a $1.2 million basketball court replacement.
Most April 13 town meeting articles won Committee endorsement, with unanimous rejection of two petition articles on Glades Road Exercise Area improvements and waterways bylaws.
