Scituate Community Preservation Committee discusses $1M Cranberry Bog property, defers vote. Chair Dan Fennelly and Town Administrator Jim Boudreau presented two appraisals valuing the agricultural property at approximately $1 million and $830,000. The Committee raised concerns about the appraisal's methodology regarding water rights and buildable land value and requested additional clarification from the appraiser.
Fennelly indicated his intention to bring the project to a vote prior to the October Town Meeting, though consideration may be postponed to the Spring Town Meeting if sufficient information is not received promptly.
