Scituate Select Board Awards Five Contracts, Sets October 19 Special Town Meeting
SCITUATE — April 28, 2026 — Scituate Select Board unanimously awards five contracts totaling over $400,000 and approves October 19 Special Town Meeting date. At its April 28 meeting, the board approved a $75,000 cardiac monitor purchase from Zoll Medical Corporation, a $59,879.08 modular boat lift from Jet Dock Systems to protect the harbormaster's $700,000 safe boat, a $169,544.53 golf equipment package for Widow's Walk Golf Course funded through the enterprise fund, a $98,000 roof contract for the Cudworth House and barn awarded to Unicon Inc. of Boxford after 38 plan inquiries yielded a single walkthrough attendee, and a heavy equipment services roster covering Selco Construction Corp, Laminar Construction Corp, and Excavation Inc. The board also transferred TK O'Malley's liquor and entertainment licenses to Scituate Hospitality LLC, owned by Austin O'Connor of the Briar Restaurant Group, with 32-year manager Richard Lenihan staying on; Chair Andrew Burgers told the incoming owners, "Strangers become friends and friends become like family — I would just challenge you to stay connected to the community." The fall Special Town Meeting was set for October 19, with the warrant opening July 7 and closing July 21.
