Lincoln property committee reviews restoration progress

SCITUATE — Mordecai Lincoln Property Committee meets to review restoration progress on historic Main House. The committee unanimously approved May meeting minutes and reviewed ongoing work, including completed attic insulation and electrical and plumbing upgrades scheduled after July 1. A new tranche of Town funding becomes eligible for spending as of July 1.
The caretaker cottage renovation continues with countertops and kitchen cabinets scheduled next; the Town is managing a rental application process. Harvard University curator Sara Schechner is scheduled to evaluate the property's nineteenth-century sundial on June 11, with possible refurbishment to follow.
