Property committee approves prior minutes, updates project status.

Scituate property committee unanimously approved prior minutes and advanced multiple restoration work streams. Vice-Chair Jim Glinski reported ongoing negotiations with the state Historical Commission regarding Main House construction dating and First Period status eligibility; the committee and consultant Waite Associates are pursuing dendrochronology evidence to support early 1700s construction claims. Attic insulation work is expected complete by May, with MassSave providing blown-in insulation on the north side for $600.
Under Scituate Facilities Manager Cam MacDonald's oversight, the Caretaker House renovation by South Shore Vocational Technical students is progressing toward midsummer tenant occupancy. Asbestos mitigation and cleanup are pending CPC funding approval in the April town budget, which also includes additional CPC support for the next project phase.
