Traffic Rules and Regulations Committee · Meeting of May 12, 2026

SCITUATE — Traffic committee broadens parking review before deciding Kent Street approach. The Traffic Rules and Regulations Committee, meeting May 12 at Town Hall with Selectperson liaison Nico Afanasenko and Officer Tobey Britton in attendance, approved unanimously an expanded harbor-area parking review proposed by Afanasenko before making specific decisions on Kent Street. The committee will use an education-first approach for Kent Street church sidewalk parking, with Officer Britton contacting the parish priest, and will refer Glades Road parking to the Select Board with detailed information.

The committee also will address the unauthorized roadway parking of Minot food trucks and will review Front Street signage consistency and quality.
