Traffic committee advances parking updates for Select Board review

Traffic Rules and Regulations Committee · Meeting of February 10, 2026

Scituate Traffic Rules and Regulations Committee advances parking recommendations to Select Board. The committee voted unanimously to accept its agenda and prior October meeting minutes at its February 10 session. Recommendations for updated parking schedules on Glades Road and Kent Street are scheduled for Select Board consideration at its March 10 meeting.

The committee tabled a proposal from Marion Road residents to designate Sand Hills Neighborhood as a Coastal/Safety Zone, determining that further investigation into state regulations is required. Charles Holt of Hatherly Road requested speed limit signage updates and radar feedback signs; the committee will direct the Department of Public Works Highway Division to address faded and missing signs.
