Recreation Commission approves rental fees and food-truck policy

Scituate Recreation Commission adopts late-payment fees and food-truck policy for sporting venues. The commission voted unanimously to authorize the Recreation Department to impose late fees up to 10 percent of invoice amounts or $500 deposit requirements for field and gymnasium rentals not paid within 30 days. In a second unanimous vote, commissioners approved a policy welcoming food trucks to town fields and courts, excluding Community Turf, school grass fields, and Humarock Basketball Court.

Repeat violations of the rental policy may result in suspension of future permits.
