Scituate Recreation Commission votes support for Little League field upgrades and shed replacement. At its March 12 meeting, the commission voted unanimously to support improvements to Purple Dinosaur Field including an all-dirt infield with official softball dimensions, as well as a new 10-by-20-foot shed at Central Field funded through a Little League donation and Scituate Youth Center cost-sharing. A second unanimous vote approved Recreation Baseball Field improvements contingent on pricing and future senior housing construction, including expanded infield, leveled mound, and outfield fence, all funded by Little League.
