Sister City Committee plans May food festival and documentary project.

SCITUATE — Sister City Committee advances food festival and documentary preservation project. The "Sister City Project International Food Festival" will be held May 3rd at the Senior Center from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., expecting 100 to 140 attendees at $25-30 per ticket, with caterer Lavishly Dunn finalizing the menu and all proceeds benefiting the nonprofit. SCTV will produce a documentary at no cost to preserve Cape Verdean community stories, with Manuel Monteiro scheduled for the first interview.

The Cape Verdean band will perform at Heritage Days on August 9th, and Dina Dray will coordinate a bus trip to the Pawtucket Cape Verde museum while applying for the SEF grant by March 31 deadline.
