SCITUATE — Capital Planning Committee reviews five-year capital plans for Fire and Police departments. Fire Chief Mark Donovan reported the $141,000 radio repeater replacement project has a grant application pending with equipment ordered, an ambulance replacement has been delivered, and the Department plans future needs including Station 1 repaving and a renovation feasibility study. Police Chief Mark Thompson said the Public Safety CAD/RMS replacement is in its final phase and outlined additional capital needs including training range, ballistic protection replacement, radio infrastructure upgrade, and equipment replacement.
Both departments outlined rolling capital plans through fiscal 2031.
