Planning Board approves Ford Place mixed-use project

Planning Board · Meeting of July 23, 2026

Scituate Planning Board approves mixed-use development at 13 Ford Place with design waivers. The board voted unanimously (5-0) to approve applicant John O'Keefe's mixed-use building containing 575 square feet of workshop space and a one-bedroom apartment in the Village Center and Neighborhood District. Town Planner Karen Joseph and the board granted two waivers for street-facing requirements, finding all site plan standards met.

The approval includes 70 conditions. The board also unanimously approved a 526.5-square-foot accessory dwelling unit at 75 Norwell Avenue for applicant Diane Dymek with a restrictive covenant preventing short-term rentals. The board continued the major site plan review for 18-20 Country Way to September 24, 2026.
