SCITUATE — Planning Board approves two accessory dwelling unit conversions on Barker Road and Summer Street. The five-member board unanimously approved a 520-square-foot detached unit for applicant Candace Thornton at 27 Barker Road with conditions including a required walkway and a restrictive covenant prohibiting short-term rentals. At 111 Summer Street, applicants Patricia W.
Baird and William E. Baird received unanimous approval for a 732-square-foot accessory dwelling unit in an existing barn under similar conditions. Board members also unanimously reelected Patricia Lambert as chair, Rebecca Lewis as vice chair, and Ann Burbine as clerk for the 2026-2027 term.
