SCITUATE — The Scituate Planning Board voted 3-0 to continue a public hearing on a two-lot common driveway at 90-96 Stockbridge Road to October 8. Town Planner Karen Joseph said the project shifted from a special permit to a site plan review after the applicant reduced it from three lots to two. Engineer Richard DeBenedictus and attorney Walter Sullivan, representing applicants Pierre Coll and LuLu Tsai, still must resolve a setback shortfall of 47.434 feet against a required 50, an unresolved question about whether an adjacent wetland feeds Old Oaken Bucket Pond, and slope ratios peer reviewer Janet Bernardo flagged as steeper than the bylaw allows.
Abutter Douglas Calnan said he has "been 20 years coming to the Planning Board hearings on this property." The board also approved a $892.50 purchase order for zoning bylaw books and extended its decision deadline to November 13.
