The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection lifted Scituate's boil water order effective Nov. 1, and the town canceled that day's scheduled bottled water distribution. The order had been issued after water samples tested positive for E. coli.
The Town of Scituate announced it will again distribute bottled water to residents Sunday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cole Parkway after handing out more than 2,000 cases the day before.
Scituate announced a boil water alert effective Oct. 30, and residents can pick up bottled water Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cole Parkway.
