Scituate's Sister City Ireland, Cork County Committee approved its February agenda and confirmed upcoming exchanges with Irish partners. Skip Fernandes is coordinating August Gaelic Games on a Scituate Athletic field, including food vendors and trophy sponsorship; the subcommittee holds $3,538.98 in checking and $4,670.51 in scholarships. Irish students arrive September or October 2026, with Scituate students traveling to Ireland April or May 2027; Select Board liaison Jamie Gilmore will issue a formal invitation this week for an adult Irish group visit planned for May 2026.
The International Food Festival celebrating all three sister cities has been postponed.
