SCITUATE — Select Board approves water treatment plant change order and capital contracts totaling over $1.9 million. Chair Andrew W. Goodrich and members Susan J.
Harrison, James M. Gilmore, and Freya Schlegel voted unanimously to accept the fourth water plant change order of $312,041.42, bringing total project change orders to 1.94 percent of contract value with $1.8 million in contingency remaining. The board also awarded contracts for Phase 6B water main replacement to Celco Construction Corp. for $1,780,280.94, a new salt shed cover to ClearSpan for $76,126, and a permanent bathroom trailer to NUI Smart Toilets for $105,615.
Town Administrator Jim Boudreau announced the town had secured $27 million in state SRF low-interest financing and a $5 million state grant for wastewater infrastructure improvements.
