Scituate Financial Forecasting Committee approves FY27 forecast adjustments
Financial Forecasting Committee · Meeting of February 13, 2026
Scituate Financial Forecasting Committee approves revised FY27 budget forecast. The committee unanimously approved adjustments addressing a projected $323,503 increase in health insurance costs, driven by a 23-person enrollment surge since August 2025 and Medex rate increases at 2 percent. Finance Director Nancy Holt recommended using the Workers Compensation trust fund surplus to absorb the shortfall.
The committee also approved a $7,400 allocation for a Route 3A crossing guard pilot program and adjusted debt service obligations following South Shore Regional Vocational Technical School enrollment increases and a $25 million bond issued in December 2025.
