Cranberry Bog appraisal at $930,000; April timeline stalls

Community Preservation Committee · Meeting of January 12, 2026

Scituate Community Preservation Committee defers cranberry bog purchase due to $930K appraisal ceiling. Staff member Corey Miles will explore grants with a March application deadline and July award timeline.

Landowner Mooney plans to meet with Fennelly, Select Board members Jim Boudreau and Kevin Cafferty, and the appraiser to identify ways to make the project work.
