Scituate CPC seeks revisions to $6.1M Pier 44 Park plan. The committee discussed the proposal from applicants Corey Miles and Paul Barkowitz at its February 9 meeting, raising concerns about the $1.6 million shade structure and boat ramp construction timing. Chair Dan Fennelly said the project becomes feasible if $2 million in grant funding is approved and the shade structure is removed or reduced, and asked applicants to revise the application before resubmitting.
The committee also discussed two other projects: the $930,000 Cranberry Bog acquisition remains at an impasse due to appraisal constraints, and the Sunset Road acquisition continues despite one holdout property.
