Bylaw committee advances general bylaws overhaul

SCITUATE — Bylaw Review Committee advances comprehensive modernization of town board bylaws. Chair Nick DiMascio and members approved constable staffing at three, beautification commission membership at twelve, and adding the town administrator as ex officio member of the Public Building Commission. The Conservation Commission will assume conservation land administration.
Two competing petitions on commercial fisherman definitions are under consideration, including a citizen petition from Patrick Kearney.
