SCITUATE — Beach Commission plans April grass planting with high school student volunteers. Members Lizzie Capiau-Piscitello, Kelly Bower, and Chris Mason discussed spring initiatives including outreach to Scituate High School for students seeking community service credit. The commission received updates on maintenance at three town beaches: Pegotty experienced parking lot flooding after a recent storm, Minot is completing parking lot and riprap work, and Sand Hills has wall improvements underway.
